Tuesday 2nd March - walk **** - Landguard Circuit – sunny.
Got up early and walked down the seafront with the camera but it was very
misty so not great, in fact the sun did not appear until 11.15! So spent
the morning at home while Mag went to Lidl then after lunch we drove and
parked near Landguard to do our circular walk around the Nature reserve. We
walked along the hill top which gives you a better view but although it was
sunny it was still hazy in the distance and you could not see Essex across
the River Orwell. The path had luckily dried off as we headed to the view
point car park where the warden was busy ticketing cars! Then along the
Orwell to the wooden jetty pausing for awhile on a lovely large piece of
driftwood that would look great in our back garden, if only we could get it
there as it must weigh a ton! With the tide still high we finished the walk
along the broad walk and on the grass and lastly the sea wall to the end of
the prom. So, a nice afternoon in the sun and then home to chop up
vegetables for tea before a cuppa with a yummy rock bun, fresh out of the
oven and still warm:)
